It this time of the year again for VeeamON, and I’m happy to say I’m once again attending this year. Many thanks to Veeam for sponsoring the pass and hotel as part of being a member of the #Veeam100. Speaking of hotel, last year’s FountainBleau Hotel in Miami is hard to beat; but I think this years’ Diplomat in Ft. Lauderdale is up for the challenge. I’m very much looking forward to this stay.
For those who are unfamiliar with VeeamON, it is Veeam’s prime annual conference. This will be my 3rd time attending. It is a great conference to learn, get certified, win prized and meet vendors. To give you an overview, below is the agenda for this year:
For anyone looking to get VMCE certified, there are still some seats open to book the prep session on Sunday. This might run out soon, so better hurry. If you are interested in attending please use this link and use the code COMMUNITY10 to receive get 10% off.
The Breakout sessions are a wide variety of focus points. For new-comers I’d suggest First timers meet up on Monday:
Of course there is a heavy focus on Ransomware and Cybersecurity. I’m particular looking forward to this session, especially since Veeam is acquired Coveware:
Another session I’m particular looking forward to is Object Storage. Since I have become an Object First Ace and I’m testing their solution in our DataCenter right now, Object Storage has become one of my focus points.
I also want to mentioned LabWarz! If you have not done this, I highly recommend it. You are trying to solve Veeam problems correctly in the shortest amount of time to score as many points as possible. The winner gets bragging rights and a nice big check!
Pro tip, do the Hands-on Labs first and than LabWarz 😉
Lastly I can highly recommend the closing celebration! Last year was a blast, with top-notch food stations, hand rolled cigars, and 80-90 live music. It was a great time and I’m hoping this year will be just as good!
While you are at VeeamON, come by the community booth to connect with Veeam Vanguards, Legends and MVPs. There are usually some games and swag to be had.
