VeeamOn is happening in-person and virtual next week (May 16th-19th). This is a hybrid event, and for me a special one; It will be my first VeeamOn event and the first conference I will attend in person since the pandemic. I’m stoked to be going back to Las Vegas in a week.
This will also be my first time going to VeeamOn as a Veeam Vanguard. Numerous other Vanguards will be presenting at the conference, and I’m very much looking forward to seeing them.
While we are only a week out, you can still register for the event.
There are certain subjects that are more relevant for my current role, but Veeam offers a great variety of sessions. One of the newest offerings is Veeam Backup for Salesforce, which I’m sure is very interesting for a lot of folks out there. We do not run Salesforce, but here are some of the sessions I’m particularly excited about:
- Advanced monitoring, reporting and alerting with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365
- How to Survive a Hack When You’ve Already Been Hacked
- Beat the Gostev Challenge Lessons Learned
- Veeam Ransomware Best Practices for Secure Backup & Recovery
- Veeam Hardened Repository Configuration and Best Practices
- Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 Security and Hardening Best Practices
- V12: Agent enhancements
Some of those sessions align with initiatives I’m starting (or will be starting soon) at work. Others we have already implemented, but there is always more to learn and improve.
If you would like, the full agenda can be viewed
Another benefit of VeeamOn is the opportunity to work towards your VMCE. Training Days start on May 14th, with the last one on May 16th.
And in case you are the competitive type and want to test your Veeam skills, you can give it a go at LabWarz! –Love the name, by the way
In LabWarz you compete against others to overcome and conquer the perfect Backup! You will be working on problems and need to come up with solutions. There are prizes to win and of course bragging rights! Here is some more information on LabWarz (https://www.veeam.com/veeamon/lab-warz)
Don’t forget to follow VeeamOn on Social Media, #VeeamON2022.
All in all, I can’t wait to go. Yes, I’m very looking forward to learning and listening to the session, but I’m even more looking forward to meeting others in the industry and bouncing ideas and questions of each other. I hope to write another post right after VeeamOn with news and lessons learned from the event.
Stay tuned!
